Come arrivarci da:
Arugam bay Pottuvil Panama Point

SURF

Panama Point is located at the extreme end of the B374 Pottuvil – Panama Road. After you pass the Panama town, keep going straight and the road will narrow, passing a poignant cemetery along the way (mostly young soldiers who perished in the civil conflict). Follow the road for some two kilometers as it leads directly to the beach and Navy checkpoint. En route if you have a 4WD, the inviting sand dunes might tempt you, just like in Dubai!

This remote point is set against a backdrop of large boulders. Given its distance, it is irregularly frequented by surfers of all abilities. Climb the various rocks to get better views. From this point onwards, the coast joins the Yala National Park, off limits to surfers!

Panama Surf Location is a river mouth break which breaks only when the river mouth is closed. Panama is basically a right break but you get occasional lefts too making this one of the only few points for goofy riders. Water quality at Panama is doubtful if the river mouth is open. Panama is located 12km south of Arugam bay, attached to the endpoint of the road towards Yala National Park. It is best to undertake a surf mission at panama in the afternoon as you have more chances of seeing huge crocodiles, on the sand banks in the small rivers sunbathe. An incredibly colorful bird life inhabit the lake 3 km west of the village.

E soprattutto state alla larga dagli elefanti.
