When its a blown out mess at hells mouth (isn't it always) and the swell is big enough, Port Oer can provide some amazing waves and its not uncommon to see a tube or two! A great beach favoured with bodyboarders. Due to the shape of the beach its easy to "nip around the side" of the line up and after a 2 min paddle you'll be right out the back! With high cliffs either side of the beach resulting in messy winds, surfing is the main attraction of Porth Oer. The best conditions are strong SW winds, which create excellent wave sailing conditions. However, it is likely that these winds will be too gusty to have any control over your equipment!
