Maciej Zimowski about to beat Guinness World record in kitesurfing.
Polish rider Maciej "Zimas" Zimowski plans to beat kitesurfing Guinness World Records in „The longest kite surfing journey“ discipline. Current record: 369.7 km / 229.73 statue miles was set in May 2010 by Phillip McCoy Midler (USA))
Zimas will be kiting from Peninsula of Suez Gulf in the area of Adabiya Port (29°50'54.71"N, 32°30'8.96"E) to El Quasir Kalawy Imperial Hotel (26°30'40.92"N, 34°4'11.65"E) in Egypt, close to the coastal zone. Time of the challenge was set on between 20 and 30 June 2012, depending on the weather and wind conditions.
Zimowski is a kitesurfing instructor (11 years experience as a kitesurfing IKO Level 2 Senior instructor) and a founder of RedSeaZone kitesurfing school and Nobile Test Center located in ElGouna, Egypt. To see the video and get to know more about Maciej and his challenge, click the image below:
